Josh Allen added to his legacy with an effort in the Bills' Week 11 win that is historically significant in more ways than one, and for his efforts, he has been honored by the NFL as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
The eighth-year veteran signal caller recorded 317 passing yards and three touchdowns while also tallying three rushing touchdowns while helping lead Buffalo to 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – with that stat line, he has achieved for the second time in his career a milestone no other NFL player has reached – at least 300 passing yards, three touchdown passes and three rushing touchdowns in a single game.
With his three rushing touchdowns in the victory, Allen has now tallied 75 career touchdowns on the ground. That also etches his name in the history books, and he has now tied Cam Newton for the most career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.
With the award, Allen has now been named Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after earning the accolade in Week 1, and has earned the honor a whopping 17 times over the course of his career, which is an all-time franchise record for the Bills.
