Netflix has quietly added a drama series widely regarded as one of the “best crime thrillers ever made”. The star-studded show, which originally aired on ITV back in 2013, still holds a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
While many murder mysteries often fall short when it comes to the end reveal, the Dorset-based crime drama now streaming on Netflix has also been praised for its “shocking” finale.
The series in question is Broadchurch, which stars Doctor Who icons David Tennant, Arthur Darvill and Jodie Whittaker, as well as renowned actors Olivia Colman and Jonathan Bailey.
Created by Doctor Who writer Chris Chibnall, Broadchurch lasted a total of three seasons between 2013 and 2017, with season 1 being praised as “near perfect”.
