MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Carroll Junior High’s 4-H club used the national grant from the 4-H society to create a health closet for the students at the junior high.

The health closet is for students who aren’t fortunate enough to have access to the right sources of self-care. The 7th-grade science teacher, Kyandria Neal, believes this will impact students lives that need the resources.

“3 students came up with the service learning idea to have a health closet for our students that are less fortunate,” Neal says. Some students don’t have the opportunity to get the basic care and necessities.”

Organizers say they received donations from Old Navy and from the Monroe City schools superintendent, Sam Moore III.
