Donald Trump has been branded "sick in the head" after he appeared to call for the death of Democrat politicians who urged US soldiers to "disobey unlawful orders".

The US President branded six Democrat lawmakers – all themselves veterans – as "traitors" for calling on serving military and intelligence personnel to “refuse illegal orders.”

Trump wrote: "This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP??? President DJT."
