Two men have been arrested after a city centre apartment block was 'raided by armed police'.

Police rushed to the scene in Potato Wharf, in Manchester, following reports of concern for a man's welfare at around 7.45pm last night (November 19).

Eyewitnesses said police were 'raiding' a flat in the Wilson building, saying: " There must’ve been about 10 police cars and loads of armed officers last night. T here’s been police guarding the apartment door all night it seems and they’ve been doing more searching this morning." View 4 Images

Witnesses say police were also searching a car in the Wilson building car park, as well as parts of the Goodwin building today (November 20).
