Denver International Airport rates among the nation’s best for its food, art and shopping, but it’s also near the top in a less desirable category.
DEN is the second-most expensive airport to fly through in North America, according to a study by Casino.ca . Its experts reviewed 50 of the busiest North American airports using the average price for airport drinks, hotels and parking from data collected in June.
According to the study, only LaGuardia in New York was costlier to fly through than Denver, which had a total cost slightly above $350. The average Denver airport hotel was $312 per night, the second-highest rate in the country. On the plus-side, beers were cheaper than the national average at $7.41 each.
