WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio (WOIO) - The Willoughby Hills Police Department was deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of K-9 Mya on Nov. 20.
Her four paws enforced the laws as “an invaluable member” of WHPD for six years as a loyal partner to her handler, Sgt. Paul Cocanower.
“Mya suffered an unexpected medical emergency and, despite immediate care, succumbed to her sudden illness,” WHPD stated. “Her handler was by her side throughout, and both he and the Department respectfully request privacy as her loss is mourned.”
