Amazon has started issuing payments in its $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission. Are you eligible in Mississippi?

The company will send credits to some customers in two waves, according to the FTC. The first round of automatic payments started Nov. 12, so some people will have a little extra money for the holiday season.

In September, Amazon settled an antitrust lawsuit that was filed in 2023. It argued that the megacorporation got millions of customers to enroll in Amazon Prime subscriptions through coercive actions, then made it hard for customers to cancel easily.

Amazon denied wrongdoing and said it has "always followed the law."
