AUSTIN, Texas (KTRE) - Former Nacogdoches Lady Dragon Ava Whitaker swam a career best in the 100 fly for Texas A&M during day 2 of the Texas Invitational.
The junior placed seventh in the event with a time of 52.34. Whitaker is now qualified for the NCAA meet in the event. She also is now in the Texas A&M record books with the ninth best time in the event.
The Aggies continue the Texas Invitational on Thursday.
