GULFPORT — More than five years after 27-year-old Mason McCormick was found shot to death, Gulfport police say the case remains open and they are urging anyone with information to come forward.

McCormick’s body was discovered Sept. 13, 2020, on Todd Alley in the Gaston Point community. Investigators determined he died from gunshot wounds, and the Gulfport Police Department has continued to investigate the homicide.

Authorities said McCormick’s family and friends are still seeking answers and justice in the case. Crime Stoppers is encouraging anyone with information to provide tips anonymously.

Information can be submitted through the P3 Tips app or by calling **TIPS. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information submitted through its system that leads to an arrest.
