STOW, Mass. —
Christmas tree farms in Massachusetts will be kicking off their season this weekend — even before Thanksgiving.
When you have a Christmas tree farm, most of the work is done summer and fall — and at Mistletoe Xmas Tree Farm in Stow, it’s showtime.
"We will sell thousands of trees," said Mark Harnett.
The farm offers cut-your-own trees and precut trees from New Hampshire and Canada.
Harnett said he’s seen the Christmas tree season start early. It used to start after Thanksgiving, but the COVID-19 pandemic had people wanting to get out of the house, which started a new trend.
"We have seen the entire season has shift by a full week," Harnett said.
