TIFFIN, Ohio — As Tiffin police shared new details about the tragic murder-suicide that left two children and two men dead on Huss Street, Chief David Pauly emphasized that the department will not release the mother’s name - a decision he said is required under Marsy’s Law, Ohio’s constitutional amendment that protects the privacy and rights of crime victims.
Marsy’s Law is a victims’ rights constitutional amendment approved by Ohio voters in 2017. It strengthens and expands protections for people who have experienced crimes, ensuring they have rights equal to - not less than - the rights afforded to the accused.
