DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Residents opposed to a plan to build a massive data center in Ellenwood say DeKalb officials have not detailed adequate protections for the surrounding community.
The opponents say a massive data center proposed on a 95-acre site on Loveless Place in Ellenwood would be the largest built in Georgia without meaningful public input.
"While data centers may be needed in a digital society, these data centers are not being built for working people. They are being built at a rapid pace so that big-tech billionaires can make more profits," the opponents said in a Facebook post.
