Gary 'Mani' Mounfield, t he Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist, has died aged 63 - just over a month after his final interview.

Mani has died almost two years to the day after his wife, Imelda's , tragic death was announced. The couple shared twin boys, Gene and George, 12, who were born in January 2013.

Tributes also poured in for Imelda after her death was announced on November 18, 2023. Events agent Imelda was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in November 2020 and died aged just 52.

And in his last interview posted on YouTube on October 19, just a month before his own sudden death , Mani admitted how difficult the last two years had been after his wife's death. He added that he 'made a good fist of trying to kill myself via alcohol', but confidently sai
