The Boston Celtics are nearly a month into the regular season , but they’re still without Jayson Tatum, who remains sidelined by an Achilles injury suffered in May.
He’s working hard to return this season , however, possibly as soon as February. Most of his rehab updates have been encouraging, and he appears to be ahead of schedule.
However, some have questioned the wisdom of Tatum pushing to return this season, especially if he’s not 100 percent. There’s concern that he’ll risk further injury if he rushes back.
With former Celtics legend Isaiah Thomas back in town this week to accept an award, The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin asked him whether he thinks Tatum should try to come back this season.
