While the first snowfall whispered its season’s greetings to Clevelanders, filmmakers Keith Gerchak and Marisa Guterman finished wrapping up their holiday gift to the Cleveland community which opened in theaters on Nov. 7 – “Lost & Found in Cleveland” starring June Squibb, Martin Sheen, Stacy Keach and an expansive ensemble cast featuring Congregation Mishkan Or’s Cantor Kathy Sebo.

After 41 years as a cantor in the Cleveland Jewish community, Sebo expanded her artistic reach beyond the pulpit to land herself a role in the film as a waitress – a role she earned by playing host to its filmmakers over the course of a decade while the movie was being made.

The story of Sebo’s involvement dates back to 1999, when she shared the Mandel Jewish Community Center of Cleveland’s stage with Clevela
