WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - More than 50 trees fill the ballroom of the Waterville Elks Lodge with something for everyone.
The city’s Festival of Trees is right around the corner.
Beginning on Friday and running for the next two weekends, anyone can drop by and pay for tickets to put toward potentially winning an assortment of prizes.
All of the goodies found underneath the trees were donated by various businesses and organizations in the community.
The money earned goes toward economic development through the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce and the Alfond Youth and Community Center’s food insecurity funds.
Organizers encourage people of all ages to come by, but they especially like seeing the children check out the trees.
They even have a special visitor this weekend.
