The 7-year-old girl who died after she was swept out to sea in California has been identified.
The Monterey County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) announced on Monday, Nov. 17, that the girl has been identified as Anzi Hu of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Anzi died after she was “swept into the ocean by a large wave at Garapata State Beach” on Friday, Nov. 14, according to the sheriff’s office. Her body was recovered three days later on Sunday, Nov. 16.
