The owner of a Pembroke Pines music school has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl who was supposed to be receiving private lessons, police said.

Rakesh Jhaveri, 30, is facing ten counts of lewd and lascivious battery of a victim aged 12-16, Pembroke Pines Police said Thursday.

Jhaveri, who lives in Sunrise, is the owner of Music Legacies, a private music school on Southwest 196th Avenue, police said. Broward Sheriff's Office

The investigation into Jhaveri began on Monday after police said they were notified about inappropriate conduct involving him and the teen.

Investigators determined that between 2023 and 2025, Jhaveri began a sexual relationship with the teen by leveraging his position as a trusted adult.
