Dive team responding after vehicle goes into Cumberland River in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Clarksville Fire Rescue is on scene responding to a vehicle that went under the waters of the Cumberland River.

The department said dive team members and other first responders turned out Thursday afternoon to the boat ramp at McGregor Park.

“Recovery operations are underway to get the vehicle out of the water. The McGregor Park boat ramp is currently closed until further notice,” the CFR said.

Authorities said that the driver is safe and no injuries were reported in the incident.
