Srinagar, Nov 20: National Conference (NC) Minority Wing Convenor J S Azad has urged the government to ensure the provision of all essential civic amenities and adequate arrangements at all Gurudwaras across the region on the occasion of Shaheedi Divas, observed annually on 24th November to commemorate the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Azad, in a statement issued here, said this sacred day holds immense spiritual and historical significance for the Sikh community, and it is the responsibility of the administration to facilitate smooth observance of the commemorative events. He called for uninterrupted water and power supply, sanitation, proper security, traffic management, and other necessary facilities to support the devotees visiting Gurudwaras.
