Residents in one Macon County community now have a place to go should they need to seek shelter from severe weather.
A ribbon cutting ceremony took place Thursday for the new storm shelter at the Little Texas Volunteer Fire Department.
Officials say the shelter will serve as a critical safe space for residents during severe weather events and provide much-needed protection in an area often impacted by dangerous storms.
