GREENSBORO, N.C. — A new deli in High Point is getting ready to open its doors this December — but for the Coltrane family, it’s far more than a restaurant. It’s a tribute to 19-year-old Nickolas Coltrane , who died in a crash on I-85 more than four years ago.

The vehicle went out of control, rolled eight times, and Nickolas, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt that day, was ejected.
For months, a long groove in the pavement marked the crash site. The road has since been repaved, but his father Daniel says that memory never left him.
