GREENSBORO, N.C. — The City of Greensboro announced the fate of the Davie Street Parking Deck.
The parking deck will permanently close on Monday, Nov. 24, according to press release.
City officials determined that the deck on the corner of East Market and Davie streets had reached the end of it's lifespan, being almost 60 years old.
After the closure, the city officials recommended using other parking available, including the Church Street and February One parking decks.
While demolition date has not been decided, the city said to expect lane closures while preparations are made.
What the city plans to do with the land has yet to be decided.
