GLOVERSVILLE — The city of Gloversville will get nearly $1.4 million to replace lead pipes that connect homes to the city’s water mains, of which between 2,500 and 3,000 remain, water officials said.
Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the grant as part of $66 million awarded to eight communities to replace the lead service lines through the Lead Infrastructure Forgiveness and Transformation program.
