KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Samuel Alexander Kuhl, a 33-year-old man from Kalamazoo, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the sexual exploitation, coercion and enticement of a minor.

Authorities said Kuhl had contacted the 14-year-old victim over Facebook and then engaged in an illegal sexual relationship with her for approximately 18 months.

Throughout those 18 months, authorities said Kuhl abused the young girl physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Officials said Kuhl had, on multiple occasions, tried to get the girl to engage in group sexual activity. When the girl refused, Kuhl threatened her and her family with a gun, according to authorities.
