Nalin Haley, son of former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, has stirred fresh debate with a new set of hardline comments on immigration and citizenship.
Speaking on a podcast with Tucker Carlson, the 24-year-old argued that only those born in the United States should be allowed to hold public office and said the country must reduce the number of foreign students in its universities. Advertisement
During the conversation, Nalin said, “Naturalized citizens should not be able to hold public office. Growing up here is a big part of understanding the country. We need to stop and limit the amount of foreign students who are coming to universities. Some of them are spies for the foreign governments...But it is just that we should put our kids first.”
