GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas once again is taking action against a teacher in Alachua County. Kamoutsas filed an administrative complaint against an elementary teacher accused of asking students to use a non-binary title.
In the complaint, he alleges Emily Caylen Grace, a resource teacher at Talbot Elementary School, asked students to use the non-binary prefix Mx., pronounced “Mix,” rather than Ms. or Mrs., which aligns with the teacher’s sex at birth.
