Michael Valento would be the first to admit that creating explosive devices that caused fear and disruption this summer at Waveland Golf Course was a bad idea, his attorney says.
Valento, 42, was charged with arson and other offenses after detonating a makeshift bomb at the golf course July 3, and a second, unexploded device was found by golfers July 10. He pleaded guilty in October on two reduced charges of possessing an explosive or explosive material, a misdemeanor, and possessing ammunition as a domestic abuser, a felony.
