TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - No one was injured and two dogs were rescued after a kitchen fire in a Tallahassee home Thursday afternoon, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.
Crews responded to a home on Watersview Drive after a neighbor called and reported smoke billowing from the residence, the fire department says.
“Crews made an immediate entry, locating a fire in the kitchen area that had begun to extend into the attic,” the TFD press release said.
Firefighters said they searched the structure and found no one was home, except for two dogs who were taken outside and given oxygen.
TFD extinguished the fire and said damage mainly impacted the kitchen and attic areas.
The cause of the fire remains unclear.
