LEOMINSTER, Mass. —

AIS is a Leominster-based office furniture manufacturer doing much more than selling desks and chairs. AIS leadership is on a social mission.

President and CEO Nick Haritos said it was right after COVID-19 when they started to partner with organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.

AIS launched what they now call the Radiance program. They provide paid jobs to individuals who work, for the most part, on a part-time basis with the support of job coaches.

COO Steve Savage said the program grew quickly.

"We started after COVID with one group, and we have 19 different groups now," he said. "It's beyond belief of how successful the program is. It's almost magical."
