PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Gov. Katie Hobbs on Thursday signed an executive order directing Arizona’s Department of Revenue to align the state tax code with cuts included in the federal “Big Beautiful Bill,” passed by Congress and signed by President Donald Trump.

“I’m proudly working to deliver this tax cut for middle class Arizonans,” said Gov. Katie Hobbs in a written statement. “Arizona must provide relief for families who are seeing the cost of living increasing and struggling just to get by. While I’ve taken this important step to cut taxes for the middle class, there’s still more work to be done.”

Among the proposed changes in Arizona’s tax code are:

Increase the standard deduction on state tax forms from $15,000 to $15,750 for single filers, $31,500 for joint filers
