The city is investigating after a contractor drove a tractor belonging to one of its main snow contractors through a group of protesters this week.
Hundreds of people were gathered on the sidewalk Tuesday evening outside the U.S. consulate on University Avenue. They were there to protest the UN Security Council’s approval of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to govern the Gaza Strip .
“As we were speaking, all of a sudden a city-contracted tractor drives through the crowd. It’s not like it stopped,” said Omar Mahmoud, an organizer with the Palestinian Youth Movement. “There was no work going on in the area at the time.”
