A teenager has pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of cocaine after a police search in Thornaby . McKenzie Briggs appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply the class A drug.

The 19-year-old also pleaded guilty to acquiring, using or possessing criminal property. The charges came after Briggs was arrested by officers from Cleveland Police's dedicated drugs unit on Tuesday. "It led to a search of a property on Hastings Close where a quantity of cocaine was seized," a statement from the force read.

He was taken to police custody to be questioned by officers before the charges were brought. Briggs is due to be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday, December 18.
