Dumas football player ZJ Jara has been voted the Happy State Bank Boys High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 10-16.

Jara finished with 94 yards from scrimmage on 11 touches, scoring five rushing touchdowns in the Demons' playoff win against El Paso Riverside.

The Demons' running back received 4,125 of the 11,088 votes cast for athlete of the week, which was 37.2% of total votes.

Meanwhile, West Plains volleyball player Aaniyah Kitchen was voted the Happy State Bank Girls High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 10-16.

Kitchens was named District 4-4A MVP for the 2025 season and signed to play college volleyball with McNeese State last week.

The senior received 3,474 of the 11,088 votes cast for athlete of the week, which was 31.33% of total votes.
