Officials with the Idaho State Department of Agriculture are strongly recommending cancelling upcoming horse events in Idaho and temporarily pausing all equine transports following the outbreak of a neurological disease in other states that has been linked to competition events in Texas and Oklahoma, state officials said Thursday.
Idaho State Department of Agriculture officials said in a new release that there have been confirmed reports of Equine Herpesvirus Type 1, or EHV-1, linked to the events in Texas and Oklahoma.
