Military experts have issued a stark warning that a 28-point peace plan allegedly drawn up by the United States and Russia could pave the way for another Kremlin invasion.

The Institute for the Study of War stated in a fresh analysis that the proposal, reportedly put forward by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, could leave Ukraine stripped of crucial defensive positions.

Under the terms of the plan, Ukraine would be required to pull back its forces from non-occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, slash its armed forces by half, and surrender "key categories of weapons."
