BEAUMONT, Texas — The family of 44-year-old Jennifer Huffman has launched a GoFundMe to cover funeral and memorial expenses following her death Nov. 16 after being hit while walking on Interstate 10 northbound in Beaumont.
The fundraising page says the loss has “taken a staggering emotional and financial toll” and that donations will go toward giving Huffman a “farewell she deserves.”
Huffman, of Vidor, died after being hit early Sunday morning as she walked in the roadway of I-10 North. The crash occurred about 4:35 a.m. when police were first called to the 400 block of I-10 North to reports of a pedestrian in the roadway.
