The Select Board has hit pause on the ongoing marijuana dispensary host community agreement (HCA) process, at least for now. During its meeting on Tuesday, November 18, the board decided to place the months-long selection process for the third and final HCA, reserved for a social equity candidate, on hold. The decision not to authorize the town administrator to execute the HCA with Bourne Cannabis, the selected candidate, comes amid allegations of favoritism and bias in the town’s application and selection process made by other applicants, specifically the business owners of Cape Cod Dispensary.
