CLARENCE, N.Y. — There are additional details coming in on after the U.S. Border Patrol arrested 37 people last week at truck stops and Thruway service plazas here in Western New York.
Border Patrol officials say truck drivers were undocumented but also held CDLs (commercial driver licenses), which has become a national safety issue for the Trump Administration.
As we told you earlier this week, Border Patrol, working with ICE and the Federal Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) unit, says they arrested 37 people at truck stops like the Flying J in Corfu, Genesee County, and the nearby TA Travel Center truck stop, as well as the Clarence and Angola Thruway service plazas.
They tell us those taken into custody were from a variety of countries in Europe, Asia, Central, and South Ame
