SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - What started as a fun year-round yard decoration along Western Avenue has turned into a source of support for Sioux Falls neighbors facing food insecurity.
Kristine and JP Muko bought their 12-foot-tall skeleton, affectionately known as Skelly Bob, after seeing the trend take off online.
“Just kept seeing a bunch of people post what they were doing with him, so we finally splurged and got one!” JP said.
“I feel like he bugged me about it enough that I caved, but part of the deal was he better stay out year-round to make it worth the money,” Kristine said.
A few months later, the couple noticed that some of the city’s Little Free Libraries were being converted into small food pantries. That sparked an idea.
