Provincial police on Thursday charged two people with attempted murder after arresting them in the Toledo area in connection with “firearms offences.”
In a sparsely-worded statement short on details, the Ontario Provincial Police said two individuals were charged “with serious offences, including attempt to commit murder.”

On Thursday, officers with the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit, with help from the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), the Emergency Response Team (ERT), the Canine Unit, the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Community Street Crime Units (CSCU), the Forensic Identification Unit, the Lanark County OPP Crime Unit, as well as other members of the Leeds detachment, carried out a warrant on Kitley Line 3, “in relation to firearms offences,” police said.
