COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Anthony Anderson is known for saying he's "just a kid from Compton." This weekend, November 23, that "kid" goes home again. And it's for a good cause.
"It's a great time to be in a position to be able to come back to the community that helped make me who I am today and to give back to that community," said Anderson.
Anderson has always shown he has a love for Compton. We've seen him in the community before helping to make the holidays better for people he cares about deeply.
Now, with the help of the city of Compton, Anthony's foundation has teamed up with the Veritas Experience for an afternoon of giving called "Harvest of Hope." Shy Averett is CEO of Veritas Experience.
