The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation in partnership with Brotherhood Crusade and Dodgers infielder and four-time World Series champion Mookie Betts’ 5050 Foundation, hosted its annual Thanksgiving grab-and-go drive-thru at Algin Sutton Recreation Center in South Los Angeles on Thursday.
Mookie Betts, his wife Brianna, and family, joined volunteers to give 750 families turkeys, Thanksgiving fixings, gift cards and basic essentials to ensure they could enjoy a holiday meal. Betts said on Thursday, “This is the time of year when joy is always wanted, and anytime I can bring smiles to people’s faces, whether through bringing meals or creating memories, it’s special for us.
