CHEYENNE — In a state where opportunity can feel spread thin across long distances, Climb Wyoming has spent nearly 40 years creating new futures for single mothers.
This work caught Microsoft’s attention, and now the tech giant has named the nonprofit a Microsoft TechSpark fellow, bringing new AI tools and national support to a deeply local mission.
The TechSpark Community Engagement Fellowship is a yearlong national program for nonprofits designed to aid in community development and economic growth through technology and artificial intelligence (AI) usage, said Microsoft TechSpark General Manager Mike Egan. This is the program’s third year.
Egan said he wants to begin focusing more on nonprofits in smaller communities, because, as he said, talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.
