NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department has shared the funeral arrangement for Commander Scott Byrd.
MNPD announced that Byrd passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, after suffering a heart attack at his home on Monday, Nov. 10, while getting ready for work.
Byrd was a 25-year police department veteran who oversaw SWAT, Bomb Squad, Emergency Contingency, and Marine Operations.

The funeral service for Byrd will be held at Cornerstone Church, located at 726 W. Old Hickory Blvd in Madison, on Friday. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Community members planning to attend the funeral are asked to go the the church using North Graycroft
