BEDFORD, Ohio (WOIO) - The Bedford Education Association announced a vote of no confidence in Superintendent Cassandra Johnson during a tense city school board meeting Thursday night.
BEA President Trish Duncan addressed the board during public comments, stating the superintendent has failed to meet district needs. “Specifically you have failed time and time again to deliver what your district best needs to serve our students and staff,” Duncan said.“It is unfortunate as superintendent you do not or chose not to understand the history of successful cooperation between the BEA and district leadership. That for decades, long before your arrival, helped to build the Bedford city schools to be an excellent learning environment for all.”
The meeting became tense when the board stopped Duncan
