The Met Office has issued further yellow weather warnings as temperatures are set to hit minus 12C.

Following the "coldest night of this winter so far" and snowfall across the UK the forecaster is warning of icy conditions that are likely to cause disruption.

This morning (Friday, November 21), a mix of rain, sleet, wet snow and small hail, will lead to wet surfaces in many places and create icy patches on the final day of the cold spell.

The Met Office predict on Friday temperatures could fall to around minus 7C in parts of England and Wales and minus 12C in Scotland.

Snow is expected to continue to settle in Scotland, with upto 5cm falling in certain areas of the country. Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT
