BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Are you worried your Thanksgiving dinner will break the bank? Well, if you’re in central Vermont, the Waterbury Common Market has got you covered.
“We’re trying to help make a wonderful holiday celebration for folks in the general Waterbury area by giving them a nice Thanksgiving feast,” said John Malter with the Waterbury Rotary Club.
Neighbors dropped their butterballs off at a small section of Route 100 in front of the Waterbury Common Market last Saturday.
“November and the holidays are the busiest times of the year. It’s when people need food on the table, and there’s very specific things that people want for the holidays. That’s why we do our turkey bag drive,” said Arielle Edelman from the Waterbury Common Market.
