Ocean City officials will introduce a redevelopment plan this week to turn the shuttered Seaspray condominiums into a 43-unit condominium complex.

The property has been vacant since the spring of 2024.

On Thursday, the city council “consider the first reading of an ordinance to adopt a proposed redevelopment plan for the site and refer it to the planning board for their recommendations before any potential final vote,” Ocean City spokesman Doug Bergen said in an email.

The plan will have its first reading at 6 p.m. Thursday, Bergen said.

After the introduction, the proposal will be referred to the planning board for recommendations before a second reading and public hearing.
